“The United Kingdom doesn’t like Islamic New Year. It is similar to other countries in that it is quiet and relied on remembrance. The UK doesn’t have a public holiday on this occasion.”

What is Ashura?
Ashura means tenth. Every year, Ashura is linked to the day, so it is Ashura Day. This means the tenth day. In the UK, tenth of Muharram has a lot of significance.
It is the day when the martyr Hazrat Hussayn was killed in the Karbala Battle.
Being the Grandson of the Islamic Prophet, it was Hussayn who was responsible for reviving the religion. laihissalam was the one who stood up for his beliefs. The Caliph of the Umayyad Caliphate was named Yazid.
He ruled from 668 to 683. His nomination was opposed by a lot of Muslim people. One of them was the prophet Hazrat Hussayn. The one who opposed him was killed by Yazid.

“laihissalam started traveling to Mecca, thinking that he wouldn’t be able to follow in the footsteps of his father. The thoughts went wrong. His (Alaihissalam) path was blocked by the army of the brutal Yazid. 30000 soldiers surrounded Him and companions.”
“He wasn’t giving up. Their access to water was limited. It was a choice between supporting the government or getting killed. Hussayn stood by his principles and did not support Yazid.”
The result was His Martyr with his companions. The companions were still loyal throughout this time. The family of Hazrat Hussayn was held captive. The leadership role was taken by Hazrat Zainab who demonstrated what he had done.
The cruel ruler died three years after the event. The military strength and barbaric nature are powerless at death.
The legacy of Hazrat Hussain will stay forever because nature took revenge against him.
What happened in Muharram?
The Shahadat of Hazrat Hussain (Alaihissalam) was just one of many things that happened during the month of Muharram. There was a death anniversary of a Sufi. The 5th of Muharram is when it happens.
“It’s usually considered a sacred day in Pakistan, but anyone who shares the same spiritual similarity can value it. He died in the year 663. Water access was forbidden to Hazrat Hussain and his companions on the seventh day of Muharram.
The terrible events in history. Muhammad Sirajuddin Naqshbandi was born in the year 1297 AH. He was an Islamic scholar as well as a leader of the Mughal Empire. He was the first descendant of the man who built the Taj Mahal.
Indian Sufi, Ashraf Jahangir Semnani, was born in808. He was the local ruler.
